About Us
Welcome to the Portlands Energy Centre (PEC)
website.
PEC will be a 550 megawatt generating station located in the
Portlands area of Toronto's waterfront. This project, launched in 2002, is
urgently needed to meet Toronto's growing demand for electricity. The project
is now in the construction phase following successful completion of the
environmental review and all government approvals.
PEC is a 50-50
partnership of Ontario Power Generation and TransCanada.
