Construction

Beginning with the formation of the limited partnership between TransCanada and Ontario Power Generation in 2001, PEC was build to supply the demand need for electricity in Toronto. Groundbreaking commenced 2006, Simple Cycle production began in 2008, and in April 2009 we ventured into Combined Cycled Commercial Operations. Portlands Energy Centre was build on time and on budget.
